Yea I don't think so, Pole at silverstone last year was 1:26.134. Given the time of year, current weather, and the tires they get to run during filming/shakedown runs, no one is going to get anywhere close to a 1:24.4.

The efficiency of this PU is absolutely mind blowing. The exits are almost nonexistent and that's without any additional cooling from the louvres. The ones at the rear of the Ferrari are roughly this size but the Ferrari makes use of the louvres

I suspect that One car manufacturer decided to make their roll hoop area smaller with less cooling there and a small COG benefit while the other team installed more cooling in the roll hoop area with smaller sidepods....obviously different aerodynamic concepts.i'm guessing louvres will appear and disapear on both cars as they see fit once the real racing starts i dont get how you made the jump to PU efficiency

I’m sorry, but no one is going faster than last year, with cars fully developed by mid season, on demo tires.

If it sounds to be good to true, ask yourself some basic questions, and you’ll probably get your answer.

As I wrote on the RB18 thread… The account is spreading false information… It is the same account that stated that they were watching the RB18 on track and that it was wearing a white camo livery, which we know isn’t true… Just trolling for a few likes and some attention.

The new cars look a lot better than expected, especially compared to the pos showcar which was displayed by FOM last year. The W13 is no exception.

With that said, my only gripe is they look more like indycars now rather than F1 cars, especially at the front.

This was always going to happen with underbody tunnels, and this goes back 30 years now.

That's a nobody with 14 followers. I'd bet my next paycheck he has no idea what he is talking about. Not to mention teams almost never do the standard silverstone lap, as it's to long for shakedown runs, as they are very limited on mileage (100 km).

For example watch Lews in 2017.
Abby, Farm, Village, The loop,the weird bit at Chapel, Hangar Strait, Stowe, and back into the pits. Basically half a lap.

Vortices visible being shed from under the wing (looks like to manage tire wake out), and along the floor (probably to seal).

Those are not vortices. I see everyone saying that, but they are not. At least I have never seen any qualified person say that before.

That's just the water kick-up from the contract patch among a chaos of things happening. It is affected by a mish-mash of the vortices and outwash and the tyre wake itself, but the vorticity is not strong enough to imprint itself cleanly on those heavy water droplets from the tyre. So yes, the vortex is inside there somewhere, but that spray is not cleanly representing the vortex there.

You will see those waves of water spray on pretty much any car. In F1 yeah there is some vortex interaction involved int he spray, but liquid water is very heavy! Trust me when you see the vortices in the videos you will know.. You won't see it in heavy water droplets coming from the tyre though. You will see the vortices easier with smoke or water vapour.

On desktop it looked like the wingtip vortices you shown on the McLaren, or the old Y250 vortices on humid day. I am not talking about the spray there. Inside the spray you'll see the helical pattern from what looks like condensing air (rather than tire spray).
