Alpine A522

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

rather not, perhaps the first version

Hold mother of cooling needs.

Are they running a nuclear reactor?
Quite big cannon opening and still all the gills in the world.

Seems like they are running a super far forward outer strake to emulate the Barde board which will make their floor entrance fairly narrow but high.

So they will want to run a lot of high energy air at the Center.
Interesting that they still have so much central loaded front wing.

I wonder if this is a less extreme version of the route Ferrari are going down ie:

- horizontal, wide but short “slit” sidepod openings
- large front undercut, little on the sides
- concentration on the airflow coming over the sidepods (the ramp almost seems to block some of the flow coming round the side to the diffuser)

lol car looks mad different to the others – great!!

• very narrow and slender nose
• Inverted curved narrow wing elements! Different.
• extremely small sidepod inlet openings!
• All the louvres : o

the thing has battle Tank vibes.

The report about Laurent Rossi pushing the engine guys to find performance at the expense of reliability rings true with the cooling needs here.

Going by the render they have the biggest non-bargeboard yet

We have been d**k teased again. Hope the FIA bans this show car BS for next year. It's a complete lack of respect for fans, journalists and competitors alike.
Three guesses who sold them the show cars?
