Ferrari F1-75

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

It's not, sidepod is hiding it. Not the best angle comparison on those photos. Not one single team will deliberately lower the floor leading edge bellow the maximum height.
Are you sure? Just look at RBR, floor inlets are smaller??

Here is another picture. The Ferrari is not present so please don’t delete this mods. It is to demonstrate that the Ferrari floor inlets seem much more akin to the Alfa here - lower and flatter, than the rest. No ‘bargeboad’ type outer strake, just a smooth, low surface.

Maybe they don't need outer strake to act as bargeboard because of their side pod concept.

No, the aren't. Just compare the side views.

Very strange for them not to have these oversized strakes. Then again, they are very easy to add if needed.

And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Better pic again. Ferrari seem to have a higher surface running parallel along the top of the tunnel inlet, where others seem to have a flat top with high outer most strake.

Interesting! I love testing not gonna lie

Ferrari have been doing this for a few years, it's the oil breather

Looks to be a solid vortex forming at the upper corners, visualised by the flo vis.
