Apparently McLaren run their car lowest of all teams today in testing (trying to find wear points in the floor?)… Only car throwing sparks on track:

Is it possible that they just set the titanium rubbing blocks lower to mislead other teams?

mwaoh, think the teams at this stage are only interested in their own test program and not really trying to mislead anyone or even paying too much attention to others.

I thought it may be more of a comparison thing, rather than being designed to be asymmetric, but you're right that lighting may be playing tricks on me.

It could be for testing purposes. They want to correlate and possibly decide on which performs better.

I think you're comparing the wrong lines there Marc. The red line should be the next line contour to the right.

If you look at the very bottom edge of the floor you can see a noticeable difference between the left and right.

Much harder to show on phone but none of the lines on each side of the diffuser match up
