I think we might see some really good on-track battles between LeClerc and Verstappen. Not sure which order, but I think LEC-VER-HAM will make up the podium.

Bahrain has a lot of run offs, so I don't think it will happen.
I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of last years first race there between Hamilton and Verstappen, and 2019 Silverstone Lec vs Ver. Silverstone is obviously a bit of a different track, but I remember those two were at it much of the race.

I am not convinced about the new cars.. it looks like trucks and sluggish. It may be able to follow easily, but I don't think it's as agile as the previous era cars.

I wonder how this will play out? Will they start off very hard on anyone transgressing the line to set their new stall out, or will there be some leniency?

Leniency leads to a lack of consistency.

Agree the track limits should be enforced strictly from first practice onwards

They say this new race director is draconian when it comes to the white lines. All wheels off mean you are off the track. If a single inside wheel goes over the white line you are cutting the corner.

good thing..

Can imagine one particular driver might get irate with this.

The thing is, F1 sees so much f--king money.. they can afford to have cameras in the right places to police this with enough stewards. Like the VAR stuff and what they're putting in place now.. they had no excuse to not police the sport thoroughly.

Maybe they should put the line half a tyre width from the kerb, so the driver is in no doubt he is about to 'foul'?

Does every thread have to descend to LH Vs MV? Get a grip

Take a deep breath and read the title of the thread before you post

Let's go on topic so. Have pirelli released any information about how long they expect tyres to last yet?

As long as he is consistent in rule application, everything will be good.

Guys, welcome to 2022. 2021 ended and many users here developed an allergy to it. Let it sleep. Hordes of posts have been removed, seriously, let 2021 be last year.

Looking forward to the extra stop being a viable strategy in most races again as the invisible energy shield no longer is a bubble 2 seconds around every car.

You will get those after FP2 where the teams will do a long run simulation and the returned tires are analyzed by Pirelli… The data from Testing isn’t as useful

But the initial opinion from testing is that its going to be minimum 2 stops

Yes, but he was asking about number of laps… We won’t know those until the teams do real race simulation laps
