ah ah it's the same bullshitter who claimed that Ferrari would mount the front push rod ... how can you believe this bullshit
Duchessa is usually very reliable and actually has sources from within Ferrari. So I think you may be using a language that is a tad too strong there.
Ah ah Via Motorsport.com
As part of the sidepods overhaul that Mercedes introduced on its W13 for this week’s Bahrain test, the Brackley-based outfit reworked the arrangement surrounding its mirrors.

This included heavily sculpted mounts to help feed vanes on the cockpit side impact structures.

Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto suggested that the Mercedes approach was questionable, because the mirror design was not supposed to exploit any aerodynamic advantage.

“On the mirrors, I am somehow surprised,” said Binotto, when asked by Motorsport.com for his thoughts on the Mercedes changes. “I find them quite surprising, and it is something that we are not expecting. I think in the spirit of that, it is something that I think for the future needs to be addressed.

I understand why people are skeptical but I think Ferrari is starting this season in a good place. I don’t know if it’ll be a championship contender but its clear Binotto and team have done their homework.

I think I’m most optimistic about the new simulator and data correlation being good. That’s a big part of what Ferrari was missing previously.
Encouraging to see it seems ready to go from the first race. Better than playing catch up
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

I tried to get some more info from Rory about what he did on this car, but he did not comment on that, as his contract does not allow him to talk about that.
You are in touch with Byrne? Please send my regards and thank him for being an amazing inspiration to some of f1technical members :)
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Yes i am. I am working on a book about the era of 1996-2006 and got in touch with Rory.

I will send him your regards and thanks. I am sure he will be very happy. He is a great and modest person and will really appreciate that.

I do hope Ferrari is fastest if not the equal fast car.
Mercedes has a fast car, until they tame it Ferrari should gain wins early to fight for the championship
I have a sneeky feeling Merc are sandbagging. :|

I don't think they are sandbagging at all, it's a new car and they have to learn a ton of stuff on it, plus they decided to test it for 3 days only. They aren't doomed to lose the WCC but they are in a bit more awkward position at the moment.

Thank you very much. I will let you know. I just finished 1996, so most of the work still lies ahead of me, but great to hear there is some interest for a book like that.

Giovinazzi was in the sim today.

Given his previous work, definitely a good thing.

I think the title is a bit editorialized, but yeah he's very confident of the performance of the car. He says that they could be +/-0.2 on the RBR and will fight it out with them, and the slow corners performance is indeed great like his late breaking and early acceleration seems to imply across the board in Bahrain. In the next 4-5 races they'll have the new floor to permanently solve porpoising. That's a lot of information and confidence from him. I can't wait for sunday.

Right after the end of the tests Binotto said the car wasn't in a position to fight for wins, a few days on he sounds extremely confident, these mixed signals are not good for my emotions

Interesting also that he barely mentions Mercedes there because I personally regard them a much bigger threat than Red Bull
