Ferrari F1-75

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

It's really hard to see any differences between the old and new diffuser. Maybe I am just being blind.
There is no horizontal flaps on the lower part of the diffuser.
Youre seeing something that isnt there on the old floor, its never had an horizontal step on it

That's an arrow painted on the floor...

Twitter got it wrong it seems, nothing new on the diffuser. There was never a footplate on it, it's not even allowed with these rules as far as I know.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

You can see the L shaped bottom of the diffuser on the TEST image. It's no longer there this weekend.

You mean the yellow? That is painted on the floor underneath the car (part of an arrow).

Diffuser is identical to the tests.

I have a question, is this new Ferrari F1 car wider than last year’s car?, If it is wider what would be the impact if there is a collusion with the side pods during a race weekend ?

Someone correct me otherwise, but I believe the car widths are the same as last year, although they are a little bit shorter so that might give an illusion of more width.

Looking at the image in this post viewtopic.php?p=1041702#p1041702
And i really don't see any difference?
I don't see anything new either on the diffuser but if someone could point out exactly the changes I'd appreciate it
The vertical trailing edges now curve outward slightly.

One of the intentions of the new rules is to keep a more narrow diffuser wake to prevent wide outwashing wake that disturbs following cars.

The rules do this by banning fins under the diffuser and also by instructing fairly parallel side walls.

You could flare out the diffuser a bit to get more sideways expansion at the expense of losing some volume inside of the diffuser, but it is a calculated effort if more performance can be had, and that Ferrari has done here.

It's the same diffuser as before, we can move along :)

Width is the same 2M. As for what would happen, if it's a big crash then the car would have to be retired, like Leclerc in Hungary last year
