currently Ferrari and Red Bull are the top two, Mercedes is struggling for real.
Alpha Tauri best team :D
Ferrari looks strong as expected.

Overall those cars all look difficult, too rigid, porpoising, doesn't look good to drive.
Curious to see the race start also with those very rigid cars

These cars look ponderous and slow.
They really don’t look great on the move.
Agreed.
I will not be surprised if for next year active suspension are back

Gotta say I find the white of black graphics harder to read.

Or allow mini skirts to seal the floors which would remove the need to get the cars so low. But yours is easier to implement.

What are you lot talking about? There is only one car that hasn’t got a good handle on it yet. So just because one team is “struggling” we need active suspension or skirts back? The Merc engineers will fix this without any issue. They’re just engineering how to fix the porpoising whilst keeping the downforce that they know the car produces in simulations/trackside

Its more than its just a much better and simpler solution to the issue. The system could even become a spec part if they wanted and the teams probably wouldn't complain, they still get to program it.

How many teams are struggling? Would the rest of the grid vote for a change like that?

Something that would make all their lives easier? Of course they would.

No one is going to bring back active suspension. Maybe go back to 2021 hydraulic stuff, but not 1993 active land...🙄

Lets see how the drivers adapt to driving these new cars before thinking about active suspension or skirts, they are still on a learning curve as they are starting to push the limits of what the cars can do. I'm sure Mercedes will get on top of the issues that are impacting performance. Same thing with McLaren and it's brake issues.

My prediction:
1. Ferrari-Red Bull very close
big gap
3. Mercedes

Wow, if ever there was a case of not following the spirit of the rules, that document from Red Bull is a great example.

Interesting that Mercedes say the front wing gives 25% of the downforce. That suggests that the floor doesn't give the high % of total downforce that some commentators have been suggesting.
What on earth are you talking about. They have done what is asked, a brief description up to 50 words and an overview up to 100. If the FIA expect/want more then perhaps they should have used the word detailed and asked for a minimum of words. I'm gobsmacked people here actually think teams are going to "reveal all" with these documents.
Red Bull - front wing makes downforce. Well no sh1t Sherlock

Mercedes - gives some detail.

Fairly obvious that one is taking the idea seriously, the other isn't. But then one team does a huge amount of fan-facing stuff with post-race debrief videos, Q&As, pre-season rules changes videos, etc. And the other just complains about Toto spending time in Monaco.
Like "nose - mounts front wing to chassis". As you say no sh1t Sherlock.

F1 teams give as much detail as they are prepared to give, what's new. You honestly think if Mercedes make changes to their cooling which makes the zero sidepods possible they are going to go in to full details about it.

Of course they would! It would solve so many problems for all teams. They are all compromising on it, it's just that some are compromising less right now.
