If somehow that car is in Top 5, i am pretty sure with Alonso they will win few races. That guy has gps in his brain and no one comes close to him in race craft.

100% Max Speed. Nobody can touch Fred when it comes to race craft. Nobody. If he has a car within 5-6 tenths of the sharp end, he will contend. He can drive any condition car to its max like Schumacher used too. He’s the best on the grid even at his age. Remarkable dude. Hope to see him take the field to school this year.

I am very surprised, media attention is always focussed on selected few teams and Alpine is never gonna be one of them. If Alpine starts to win or be at front, quite many people will have to bite dust.

Anyone think after looking at the cut-away inside the sidepod that alpine we’re maybe planning to shrink the pods in their Barca’ aero update… because the new engine should be easier to cool… and now looking at Ferrari and redbull- the solution is for larger side pods.. with more of the ‘squirt’ to feed air…feels like a lot of teams are maybe looking at Plan C now..
because merc have such bad porpoising?

The porpoising has nothing to do with the side pods. Teams are using the sidepods as a replacement for the bargeboards to prepare the air for when it will later go over the rear aero structures.

The porpoising has more to do with ride height and rear floor.

I think Alpine do their thing without talking they didnt said we have upgrades for the week end they jist said we have some pieces to add to the car its the right thing to do and do the job with humility

In FP3 they did heavy fuel run no need to time attack cause the evening the temperature drop a lot and its the time to attack and setup the car to push

First impressions are not so simple. Also the mechanics were tapping Esteban's car, gills or sidepods

+1.5 second slower than leader. It is not easy to reduce in a year. will take years. No chance for Alonso to be WDC with Renault aka Alpine.

Sheet Alonso did a mistake in Q3 and lost 7 thents

Not bad for first Quali, beat one Mercedes, but Alonso final lap was quite bad... Whit his Q2 lap i think he would be in front of MAG and BOT.
