Was it that stupid? Hamilton seems to be in the mix just fine.
Yes it wa stupid and it is embarrasing that people think it is valud.
I see no problem with saying Max is able to get more from the car. Its a fact. No point in hating on him because he's doing a better job.
How do you know Max is getting more from the car than Hamilton? Are they driving the same car? No. So you can't compare how they're doing.

Comparing drivers that aren't in the same car is pointless and meaningless. It just fuel pointless fan arguments that ruin every race thread on this forum these days.

Don't forget, the times yesterday in P2 were already about 1s faster than what we see now...So hard to say how good Merc times really are.

They’re all also not running the pace of FP2.

I also wonder if the lower air density during the daytime running here is helping Mercedes, and cooler denser air may bring it back.

He probably played Forza once and watched DtS, so they’re experts now.

The times have always been quicker in the evening sessions at Bahrain so very little point comparing to yesterday's FP2 times.

We'll know soon enough. Somehow I doubt it.
I also doubt it. Max had a clearly higher top speed and that was supposed to be with less powerful engine mode on top of having more fuel?
Max's highest speed in testing was 326/7kph

His highest speed yesterday was 313kph
His highest speed yesterday was 317 kph.

Who was comparing max to Hamilton? Think you need to go back and re-read the context the comment was wrote in. Max was being compared to the mercedes. From memory, there is more than 1 driver in that team.

The original comment also needs removing too as its just an attempt to blatantly troll and get reactions like it did.
Why?
Because this is a technical forum, and making statements like that is just make belive and will continue the slide downwards that this forum has been on for the last 3-4yrs.

Yes because he was saying yesterday the cars were equal and it was Max making the difference. So yes, its very stupid.

He was saying similar stuff all last year too, every race. Most tedious.

Seems like GR has setup his car more towards qualy and HAM more towards the race, as usual I would dare to say  ...

It's not an outrageous take just looking at the FP2 time-table. Perez was in between Hamilton and Russell, so based on some assumptions one could argue that both teams perform approximately equally but Max stood out. Those assumptions/arguments were not clarified in the post as as such it was not a strong post, and I do not agree with the premise as such, but I do not agree with the notion that it was outright trolling either.
