if my notes are right, these are the tyre sets the drivers have left for tomorrow (completed laps per used set in brackets):

So for those three in front it's completely similar
Wouldn’t be surprised if RB throws a curveball with Checo and puts him on the contra strategy.
yeah, but question is, what would that be? Personally I'm pretty much in the dark about the best potential strategy for tomorrow, tbh. S-M? S-S-M? Doesn't look like many teams want to use the hards at all

Agree with the TV graphics comments. They were wrong, too large and as ugly as an unlicensed crappy fake F1 game. Who approves this stuff 🤦

I doubt anyone will run the soft tyre at all.

Watching the onboard of the top three, it looked like Ferrari had some more time to find when comparing to Max. A few small snaps here and there that cost a tenth or so. That might put Max at an advantage tomorrow in terms of deg.

My guess is M to start with plan A a one stop to the S but possibly switch the H if needs be. And then RB might use the S for Perez to get him ahead of Sainz.

But as you say, pure guess.

most teams specifically saved softs for the race, and no one did a long run on hards, but just used them in FP1 or so instead. So I'd say that definitely points towards soft being a race tyre

Well I think one thing I can safely say. We’ll find out just how close cars can follow tomorrow.

Most had very few Hard sets. I think we’re going to get into a situation where the Soft tyres at any given track are going to be nothing but qualifying tyres.

Wow, the toxicity is already at Abu Dhabi levels and nothing controversial has even happened yet!

What a positive surprise, I thought Newey was going to walk away with this, but Ferrari really held up the pre-season hype for once. Tomorrow will throw some surprises I’m sure, and it’ll be interesting to see the deg of the different cars.

Really impressed by Carlos turnaround, and his humbleness in the post Q interview. Please let it stay this close during the season…
Exactly this. Shame to see such rubbish on this forum. Real fans should be excited that Ferrari is up there again
People are. It’s also fair and perfectly valid to point out that Verstappen and LeClerc are never going to invite each other to any parties………putting it mildly. I personally would go as far as to say Leclerc dislikes Verstappen but others may disagree.
Charles does not dislike him, have you seen them together? I swear this sub have turned into 12 year olds

No, he completely missed turn 1
Don't worry, it's just his attempt to build the narrative that George is rubbish and thus, of course, so is Lewis. It's been played out over a period of time now and quite transparent.

Yup, I already said that from last year, full transparency here. I can´t deny it will be hilarious, to say the very least, if Albon keeps beating Latifi by bigger margins than Russel did and then George starts beating Lewis... but I´m not very confident on the latter right now
From the horse's mouth, as the saying goes.

Did anyone else notice how a lot of the Q3 times were slower than Q2? Ocon in P11 did a 31.7 in Q2 which would have got him 7th in Q3.

Makes me think that, although the front runners did find time, it’s because they were still not going maximum all-out in Q2 and in optimal conditions the lap time would have been a bit lower / closer to last year.

In my view some of the instability in these cars - the bumpiness, the back occasionally stepping out - increased the perception of speed last year; I suspect if you added a V10 soundtrack over the top they’d look reasonably fast even though a couple of seconds down on last year.

So you disagree then as is your right. Just as I said others would. Not sure how that makes me sound like a ‘12 year old’ mind.

I take it that you did not take it as a complement?

I agree with you, I've seen the reply posted by the user.
