Looking at how we performed with a 2 year old chassis and engine effectively last year and in many races outpaced even mclaren I'm optimistic for decent improvement throughout the season

at least he has the power to compete. Merc PU is behind of Renault. Alo good starts could save his mistake on qualy
I think they are quite equal. Nice to see that the Renault F1 engine at least is as powerful as it should be. Good job done in Viry. Those guys there have been through a tough time. Nice to see that they now have got it together. Congratulations..

I hope the power is even or better for Renault PU but it looks to be the tightest package with the least amount of cooling requirements. The pictures I posted on he A522 thread showed in quali they were down to just 4 or 5 louvers on 1 sidepod, nothing else. All the heat going out the back.

Well they’re not bad, but they’re not fighting anyone for wins- sad after the plan for these new regs all those years.

Maybe they didn't get the balance right cause of it. Don't know but they have a whole race of data collected to analyse, if it isn't obvious to them already.

Ocon definitely seemed to be better with the tyres in the race. Good that they both finished in the points. Pat Fry needs to copy that Ferrari asap :D
