Merc don't have the the striaghtline speed
Indeed. Even with DRS Hamilton is struggling to catch the Ferrari.
Saying that, it seems a lot are struggling with DRS not helping as it used to

KevMag's lack of recent race experience showing with two lots of outbraking himself.
In a F1 car. He was racing IMSA last year. He got more seat time / race experience last year than any F1 driver.
Yeah, in an F1 car. Experience in a different category doesn't really help in a heavy F1 car in close racing.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

DRS does seem quite ineffective. It is quite evident they can run closer together.

In the slower corners they really don’t look sharp though, reminds me of Indycar.

Plenty of close following, however, so that's a good thing. Hamilton is staying within 1 second of Sainz around the entire lap. Couldn't do that last year.

You'd hope Perez could catch Hamilton. He's in a much quicker car.

Cars look big and blundering when grouped together. I think some of the “spectacle” is gone.

He doesn’t have the pace and why risk an incident?

Mclaren hurts bad.

Yep. That's a second a lap plus DRS for you.
