Lec run a bit wide at T4?

Lovely pit by max to close the gap
HIs team, you mean? The driver just sits there.
Well there was a greater gap between them than .3 seconds that RB were faster in the pitstop

New regs have cancelled Lewis and Max's late braking styles.

Surprised Max tried the same move a few times in a row and didn't change to try and overtake at turn 4 and not give Le Clare the chance to take over straight away again. But here we are. Good to see they can run close for a fair distance.

Verstappen with desperate lunge.
And punished for it with a flatspot
Wouldnt class them as desperate. 2 lovely opertakes and 1 unfortunate lock up.
S'funny, but in the last few years, coming from that far back was classed as a dive bomb. This year it's a bona fide overtake move in that Red Bull.

Yes, dive bombing to clip the apex is normalised now.

Can you take your negativity elsewhere? At least we are seeing good racing for once. Be a fan of the sport for once. Stewards I’m sure are well aware on what is bona Fide, and what isn’t

What was wrong it with the overtake?

The DRS effect on that RedBull was huge and Verstappen was really aggressive with late braking - too aggressive at the end.

I'm surprised that the Top 3 went for Softs instead of going for Mediums... Perez would be in a great position I'd say, especially if Sainz is now thinking of a potential 3 stopper.

LEC was defending in a way that opened the same option for Max all 3 times and didn't give the other option, had LEC tried to cover the inside in T1 compromising his exit out of T1, then Max would have the 2nd overtake option open, but it didn't happen

Yep most of you just want a procession with HAM at the front driving away into the distance. At least we have drivers trying to pass. See it as a small victory for the sport

Sorry, I wasn't being negative although reading it back it could be seen that way. I was amazed that it could be a proper attempt from that far back.

I meant it was amazing that it worked so well as last year coming from that far back would probably have been a bit touch-and-go.

I think first 2 were thanks to using battery on the straight (and LEC saving his for retake), 3rd one was either without or he tried to not use it so he has it to defend, but didn't work out with this years cars being stiffer
