Yeah they ran all compounds, plus there were periods where Ocon and Alo were following each other closely for several laps so there must be some decent data there too.

Hey, they finished in the points when they didn't last year at this race.fouad1979 wrote: ↑20 Mar 2022, 18:53pat fry is a joke how can u be lapped with this new regulations unbelievableChanman141 wrote: ↑20 Mar 2022, 18:51Ocon definitely seemed to be better with the tyres in the race. Good that they both finished in the points. Pat Fry needs to copy that Ferrari asap

Really only the top 3 teams were on the same lap. 7 teams got lapped.Michelangelo wrote: ↑20 Mar 2022, 19:10Them being lapped is not really surprising. They are a midfield team in a long race with significantly fast front runners.
The speed is there same level as Ferrari and Redbull, better than Mercedes and they manage to finish the race without engine problems, not as the EX Hondas. So I don't think is a problem of the Power Unit and more to do with set ups and aero.peewon wrote: ↑20 Mar 2022, 19:15Last year they had the excuse of putting all their eggs in the basket for new regulations. To be equally far behind in raw pace is really disappointing although sadly, not surprising.
And I dont think the PU is close to the Ferrari or even Red bull on pace. With PU homologation in place, Im not sure how they can catch up, maybe under the guise of reliability. Its clear the Ferrari PU is miles ahead which is why the satellite teams even with varying aero solutions are al doing well. I dont see them competing anytime soon which means no chance for Fernando for race wins, let alone title contention. And to think they were ahead of Ferrari on power two seasons ago.
I prefer not to get too high or get too low. At this point of the regs lap time comes easy. Maybe the ride height is too high cause of porpoising.peewon wrote: ↑20 Mar 2022, 19:15Last year they had the excuse of putting all their eggs in the basket for new regulations.
