The cars seemed so slow to me. Unweildy on corners and like watching passing traffic.
It may have been a combination of the track and the lights, but on screen it was less 'speedy' than F2
I agree with that. They may be quite fast on a lap but they are "muscle car" fast, not "sports car" fast. It does not look good for me. The car are too long and way too heavy.

I don't believe that rumour about RB miscalulating the fuel

We had a safety car

No way that RB puts about 10 laps less fuel into the car, betting on a SC to happen

You seem to have a bias against Max and not against other drivers who do the same thing
It's common among many cultures to point at the preceved worst of the wort!
Well Max isn't it so ye need to get a grip and actually talk about what happened during the race

That's a matter of perspective!

Ferrari had a bit extra this race, no one can deny that, but it is baffling what Max tried to do with Charles. I guess he was desperate knowing that Ferrari was faster at the end of the day, so he could be more strategic and maybe wait for the second DRS zone?
Ferrari had better pull coming out the corners. Max somehow had to get in there and disrupt Lec's corner exit. He failed on all his attempts. Next best thing to do was come out ahead and have Lec try do the work, which he did.

Or force him into an error, which he didn't :)

Very impressed by Charles. Really mature drive, and kept his head supercool over and over when Max overtook him. Max still has a long way to go when it comes to wheel to wheel racing. Had he just waited until after the hairpin and tricked Charles into taking a defensive line, it would have been him who would overcut into turn 4, and thus been able to have a real shot at winning.

Let’s hope it stays this close and that Merc joins the fight as well. Then we are in for one epic season.

Well, they have lacked it before. its peaceful now but how long will it last if they have to duke it out regularly.

He put himself in position with key overtakes, as well as pressured Perez into the failure. If he was too far away from Perez it would have been possible for Perez to cruise home maybe.
Maybe. Or maybe the fuel pump just failed.
Seems RB underfueled. So again. LH was there to pressure perez. He coule have cruised to the end if he had a bigger gap.
For Sure!!

It was a bit like a comedy sketch when they gave Perez the order "get your elbows out" and then a moment later his car was facing the wrong way. as if a driver needs to be told to defend and they are acting like its still 2021 for the team to keep Hamilton behind.

That is a rumour for now

AMuS reported that the fuel pump was causing issues during testing and both Mclaren and RB were given permission to do an hours extra work on it last night by the FIA (Horner said this on Sky)

So there was already a problem with it

RB would have had to have underfueled by 10 laps and needed a SC to finish the race. I highly doubt with all their years of racing that they would have made this mistake

Dont know if it was mentioned.. But the Ferrari pitstops are much better this year!
The stops gave them the win.
Both stops Max could have got rhe undercut but the quick ferrari stops countered that.

Mercedes stops are as slow as their car. 4 second stops consistently. I do wonder if they were demotivated after losing the WDC last year and didnt put in much work over the winter?
For Sure!!

It's a valid point. Max could try the straight to turn 4 with DRS. He never did today against Charles.
That lockup was not smart by Max 'divebomb' Verstappen
