It's much deeper looking from this angle.
Nice! Too bad it was the old floor.
That video also shows the low downforce rear wing. I'm not sure that was used in the race?
Nope that's the one from the tests. Not sure when new floor arived but it came after the new sidepods came in.
So I imagine this is the Miami update? However I find that teams are always exaggerating how different it looks. Mercedes is the only team who when they tell you the car will be different, it will look like its from another season of F1
Manufacturing, I think, is anywhere from 8 to 12 weeks. Whatever shows up in Miami was in the tunnel 8 to 12 weeks ago (February). I guess Miami would look more like what's in the tunnel now though. Guess we'll find out.
Also They have found pace during the bahrain test and bercelona test, but freight meant it was easier to send upgrades to Saudi and Albert Park directly. I know Aston has done this, maybe Alpine too.diffuser wrote: ↑24 Mar 2022, 04:16Manufacturing, I think, is anywhere from 8 to 12 weeks. Bad news but even so, A522 doesn't look helpless. Still believe in Mr Fry.

But it amazes me why Alpine can't tame slow corners, having one of the shortest wheelbases and compact chassis.
Conservative carcasse shape.

How is SA in terms of corners? Lots of 90° degs?diffuser wrote: ↑24 Mar 2022, 12:45Guess they're lacking mechanical grip.Kamel wrote: ↑24 Mar 2022, 11:22Bad news but even so, A522 doesn't look helpless. Still believe in Mr Fry.

From the pod cast, a good of what he does is looking towards the future. Looking for ways to make the engineers more efficient. He's still involved in getting the next upgrade out but not as focused as chassis director.
