Just what is the point of that gap between the floor throat and either side of the bib stay?
It looks like the air just slams into the front of the side pod??

Channeling the air on top of the Tunnel (my guess to create a high pressure zone on top of the tunnel inlet and therefore help accelerate the air going into the tunnel) and then towards the edge of the floor to help with the front tire wake management… You can see it in this picture with flo-viz:

well as far as i can see they added significant more volume and aoa to the inner part fw wing element to gain front df

Yea I can see that. I just feel they are asking too much of the air to be effective with this solution. Maybe the other teams think the same as well considering they are using that area for the throat

both kyle.engineer and scarbs mentioned it could help create df at the front, but apart from that, like mentioned i think the air is used to help seal the floor,

no, its not, if you use the orange as meassure, you han see how much more volume there is now and they added a metal/alu support of somekind that was not there before

There is clearly more wing in that inner most element. Just look the area highlighted in the green box

Well, other teams are using that area for other purposes, for example Red Bull / Ferrari have a wider T-Tray area to house electronics and t-tray dampener in there… the effective area of the Tunnel entrance should be the same or fairly similar.

There is clearly more wing in that inner most element. Just look the area highlighted in the green box
I posted another picture of the wing, it was in the car in Bahrain… I don’t know if it was actually raced though

What is the white thing sitting in-line with where the exhaust would go for? Some kind of measurement device?
