No Alonso was faster than Ocon and the Alpine was faster in race trim not few laps before the end
I agree with Fouad. Alo was faster and pulled away.

There was a "cool engine" on Alonso's steering wheel. Before it turned off.
I don’t get why that mode reduces Alonso’s pace to basically nothing so he has to stop anyway or why his engine was even hot when he wasn’t exactly on anyones gearbox.

I’m still fuming about Ocon’s attitude and dangerous driving when he couldn’t accept Alonso is faster. I’m waiting with baited breath for Alonso’s redemption for this.
Hhhhhh next race is melbourne and Fernando is very fast there and lets hope they will fix the reliability

Melbourne will be another high DF, rear limited track like Bahrain.

Ocon might’ve killed Fernando’s chances about a possible battle with Russell. He looked like he could’ve gone much faster in clean air.

Really pleased with today despite alonsos failure. Car has the pace in hand, alo was saving tyres and recharging engine and then closed up mighty quick to Magnussen and was around 6 seconds behind ham when his engine died. Not too concerned about reliability, better than Honda still and bottas and ric also stopped at the same time as alo. Could also be alo fault by not cooling engine enough. Very happy and optimistic we can be p4 this year
Ocon almost caused a red bull Baku type incident when he new Alonso was faster. He’s a dirty driver to his own teammate when Alonso was always fair with him like in Bahrain. I’m still fuming but I know it’s hat goes around comes around so I’m not worried as long alpine can fix reliability on Alonso’s side and keep getting closer to the top 3.
Yeah, I know what you're talking about. Hopefully they'll talk about it with the team and make sure that doesn't happen again. Aside from that I think it was ok. Well, aside from the fact that it didn't make the team faster during those laps.
I’m convinced Alonso could have at least kept within touching distance of Russell for a shot at P5 if ocon had used his brain instead of fighting Alonso. Anyway Alonso deserved better than that and as you say I hope they don’t let that happen again and be more firm next time. Anyway on to the next one.

I hope Alpine has some useful upgrades because Bahrain wasn’t as good as Jedda for pace. I really hope Alonso is not gonna be onto his third engine in three races as well.

Yeah such a shame. I hope in Australia Alonso can bounce back and his engine doesn’t --- the bed.

Good. I want Alonso on the podium to make up for this result from Alpine and they better do everything to fix the quality of parts coming to Alonso’s side of the garage next time.

Is this thread titled "2022 Alpine F1 Team" or "2022 Alonso F1 Team"?

I didn't see anything malicious happening on track. Just a good battle.

I think after today Alonso is done playing the good team-mate game and Ocon will feel his wrath and mind-games from now on... :D Ocon, you eat what you cook...

Ocon is that you?
Ocon pulled to the inside down the main straight and appeared to squeeze a DRS-assisted Fernando Alonso against the pit wall, forcing the Spaniard to back out of the lap-five move
