Part of the rules around reliability fixes are that the manufacturer must present data to back up their claim before authorisation will be granted.

They have 3 engines for year... They can change it without penalty... Penalty starts with 4th engine... IIRC

Or they have to lower the FW AoA because of the low wishbones...

Did Alpine dig the sides of its tub to let more air flow between it and the inboard strake? (or is the Alpine bodywork just cut differently/angled in side view?)

Hope this is the right place for it.

Alpine has no floor stays. The got screwed over. Now they have to redesign the floor for the weight savings and run the stays so they can use ballast elsewhere for better cg and polar moment.

Merc and Ferrari used their political weight to get the FIA to even consider the stays.
