Well, most epic would be to increase the power-to-weight ratio just so the driver would be the limiting factor, not the car.
Like the driver knows/feels the car is continuously trying to kill him ...
But with that, we'd have to expect a few drivers won't live to see the checkered flag in Abu Dhabi. And that's not very woke these days (OZ MODE ON) I reckon.
Man, the woke crowd now thinks we should prioritize people living over our own entertainment? It just never ends with those people, eh?
Depends on who is willing to risk their lives for glory!
It could work. You could have a series with drivers consisting of prisoners that are in for life or on death-row. They race for reduced sentences and even freedom. A true gladiator sport!
Yeah, sort of a Flat Out 2 Destruction Derby, with an 80's Rollerball feel.
Guess you'd have the biggest TV hit ever ..
Dunno whether as a constructor I'd put in a multi-million F1 car, but a bunch of old Mustang's (or Holden's to keep up the Oz spirit) would do just fine for some insane carnage
Fair dinkum!
Back on-topic; any predictions ?
I guess it's hard with a weird tire choice, DRS everywhere, changed layout, and fresh tarmac.
Early estimates where the track would easily be 5s quicker: with the additional DRS, that might be even more. So with a 1.20.486 by Lewis in 2019, and cars that are 1 to 2 secs slower, pole might be under 1.15 !?
The weather appears to be fine though; sunny and mid/high 20's (C)
