Bad luck streak for ALO does not end, hydraulic issue on downshifting so he couldn't slow the car down for Turn 11. Purple in sector 2 so was provisionally top3/4

What a guy, incredible lap. On this track, Alpine was half a second or 4 tenths odd off. Not more than that in qualifying.

He would had had 4th or 5th depending on what happened with Sainz & others & could have defended those 10 points & 5th in a race.

Alpine need to push developments now that they have a competitive car (7-8 tenths odd in most weekends, sometimes 5 tenths). They need half a second, possibly more before Monaco. If they can get that, Alonso will get podiums in many races. Also surprised @ the reliability of Alonso, stream of bad luck like Leclerc last year which Ocon isn’t having !

What realy shame is that he had same s1 as Leclerc and was faster than charles on s2 by 2 tenths and his time on the s2 was not beatin

2nd time Alonso has hydraulic issues. Last time was a fire in preseason.

I think this might be intentional from somebody in team ( i am too angry), everything seems against Alonso. He had a shot at pole and guranteed Top 3.
