I was hoping for something big in Imola but Russell said nothing substantial in the pipeline for the moment... :o
Jesus

Where did you hear this!

Very scary information, this can’t be true 😳😱😰
There is no point making alterations just for the sake of it. Going off half-cocked means that money is not available when they really do know where they are going.
The absolute best they can do is move forward one slot without getting things right, so unless Mclaren or Renault are going to make a big step, I see it as sensible to hold fire until a large enough improvement is a cert.
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

Maybe they are just going to do a B-spec like Aston.

Imola is a Sprint weekend. So not much time for update verification on friday.

Yes, one hour to set your car up and straight into Parc ferme.
Ferrari is also holding fire because of it.

He said it either in the media pen or podium winners post-race interview. I get F1 TV, but I think everyone should have access to those by now

With both VET and now HAM having at Australia race PU cooling issues, McL same issues in Jeddah and Williams & AM at Bahrein, altogether backing the rumours started from Bahrein, could they deliberately run in a particular PU mode that would trigger this kind of issue just to justify an upgrade for reliability grounds like Honda did in the past?
Of course. This is planned. If the rules allow then you do.

Is it completely not out of question they MAY not be any upgrades at imola due to sprint race and time needed to validate the update?

Both Toto and Russell have basically confirmed there will be no upgrades in Imola.

He did not say anything in the post race podium interview and nothing in media pen. The post race media pen video doesn't broadcast in f1 TV, it usually comes under sky f1 TV coverage, everyone should know that by now.

"Unfortunately, there's nothing substantial in the pipeline anytime soon," he said. "It's not going to happen overnight. It's going to take a number of races.

"I think there'll be little things, there'll be incremental steps but we recognise that our rivals are going to be doing the same, so it may not be clear to the outside world that we've made progress because Ferrari and Red Bull are going to be making progress as well."

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff explained at the Australian GP that the team feared rushing through upgrades, before it understood the W13's weakness, risked it getting more confused about what the problems were.

Ok, that was said by Toto
I was looking for George's comments
