Fastest lap under a yellow? Surely that will be an issue, regardless of a little lift.
He was 1.1 up before hand, so he gave up 0.4 so thats a decent lift
Despite lifting he did a 30.5 in the last sector compared to a 30.6 in his previous lap. The question is if lifting for a blink of an eye is enough. Obviously the purpose of yellow flags is for other cars to be significantly slower there.
Listening to the onboard he lifted for quite some time, there was no quick lift and back on, he was off throttle all the way past the Alfa

What a terrible session. We have learned absolutely zero about the top 2 cars.

The time will simply be scrapped. He did very clearly lift
There no reason for it to be scrapped, it was a single yellow flag, and he clearly lifted past the incident
I thought that was in the rules now? That a faster time under yellow does not count? To avoid any incentive to push the limits
I thought that was for double waved yellows, but im not sure. Theres no message come up about any investigation anyway

Max had some very bad luck with that yellow as he was on a monster lap. Nevertheless, he did lift just fine and still is comfortably on pole.

Mega, mega performance, cant be understated.

What happened to people losing their fastest time if they bring out a red flag?

Really bad qualifying indeed. And topped by Norris securing P3 by spinning out on a slow lap. F1 really needs to have some proper rules about this. Delete the fastest lap(s) like in Indycar, or sth like that

Im really impressed with Lando he has no right to be up there in the car he has. Last 2 races he has been up there. Mclaren are beginning to understand their car.

Max is always splitting or out qualifying the dominant team even though his car is not as good as the Ferrari.

Leclerc is being very consistent. Doing what Max did last year.

Aston Martin also are beginning to get a handle of their car. They looked to have improved by quite a bit this weekend.

Merc seemingly still don't understand their car.

I do think teams may find quite a big chunk of time by simply understanding their cars from one race to another.

Hamilton should just focus on beating Russell because this is not Kid like :D

Expectedly tricky Q session. Max lucky with red flags, set that fastest lap just before red flag and then no one had any chance to beat it. Leclerc had more pace than his best lap, no doubt. Shame, could have been far more dramatic battle for pole.

Thinking totally outside the box......Do away with qualifying and sprints all together. Saturday practice, Sunday line the cars up in reverse order of current standings, and watch them scrap. Putting the fastest cars at the front of the grid is like giving Bolt a 10yd head start in the 100m. Trouble is they need to stretch out the racing weekend for the advertising dosh. Money is a major obstacle to good racing.
