It was actually a pretty decent sprint race.
I was gonna take an afternoon nap but I couldn't sleep after all and decided to see it.
Did you enjoy it?

Now that there points down to position 8 I think the sprint race is much more meaningful.
I would say the new point system made it much more meaningful. However I would like to see events of the past coming back like the Indy 500 that used to be part of an F1 season and gave points.

It’ll never happen, Indy cars are just too different from F1 cars.

That said I’d love to see it too!

Back in the 50s and 60s F1 had special events that awarded points. Indyanapolis 500 was one of them

Start on intermediates, expected change to Softs early… But apparently more rain expected during the race… Timing to be in the right tire at the right time will be critical.

Let’s hope the team has a great race! And that is a good one for us fans to enjoy :)

Good luck to the team. Let's try to be best of the rest today.

Who's fault was this? Was it Daniel or Sainz at fault here?

Seems unfortunate positioning combined with a wet track to me. At least Daniel is still on the race.

If it would be just a little more dry, it would have been an excellent opportunity for Daniel to go for Softs instead of another set of Inters

You never know Smallsoldier. Ricciardo may have the upper hand now.

However I don't think Lando is gonna hold Leclerc behind him for much longer.

But been at the back of the grid, he could have recovered the pit time loss, his struggling in the DRS train and will remain there for a while until there starts to be some separation between the cars

They’re forecasting rain in 15min

It was expected for Leclerc to overtake Lando… and it isn’t who he is racing against… Time to manage the gap to Magnussen, all about target lap times… Hopefully he can build a gap to MAG without damaging the tires and saving some fuel

Perhaps you are right but what could he do differently? On another note Leclerc passed us as it was obvious. Our race is to be best of the rest.

There is a dry line in the track but there is still wet lines that are just as fast. Rain is incoming though. Lets hope that will come on time for Ric's pit...

Yes, tricky to know what the right move would have been… But at this stage, he would have been a couple of seconds faster than everyone else… He was last regardless
