What a disaster… This car is so flawed, I can’t even believe how bad it is. What were/are they thinking back at the Factory. Definitely down on power, and a terrible aero concept to top it off.

You know I think Lewis is hit hard psychologically after what happened in 2021 and the pace of the car he has now. I think any top tier driver would have been beating him as is currently. Remember Jenson Button and Nico were all able to take advantage of his low days. Bottas at times could do that too.

Russell is all positive and hungrier! This I think is the difference. No loss of pace from Lewis tho. He will come around sooner or later.

He was against a slower Haas. But he did put himself up to 6th from 11th. I didnt see how but he did it when it mattered.
Hamilton isnt driving bad but nothing he could do from 14th with the train of cars with stronger engines.
His points gap to Lewis is even bigger now.

Dont think so. He was lucky to get to that position. After that, surprisingly, no chance to approach Lando, almost lost position to Bottas what reflects true speed of Mercedes in Imola. Lewis was lacking straight line speed and got stuck in DRS train. Hope Gasly is satisfied with his race with zero attack on Albon

What a stubborn performance by Russell! It was night and day between him and Hamilton in terms of performance. With a bit more skill, that car can finish in top 5 consistently.

Guys. This reminds me of Mercedes 2010 and up. Fighting for the fourth and fith and hoping for a lucky podium. Granted I wasn't a Merc fan as much as I am now but I cheered for them with MSC and Nico. Not a good place to be!

Lucky? Many were faster than him indeed, and jet he managed to retain 4th position while Lewis was stuck in 14th. George did great job over the whole race. Right from the start and trough to the end.

And what wrong has Gasly done? Should he simply move to the side because he was unable to past Albon?
