That is not a Skate

The Skate should touch the ground when the car bottoms, skate along the ground (like ice skating boots), largely preventing the car floor from touching the ground and/or the plank wearing out.

The skate needs to be a metal of some sort as it will wear out

Yes, it is a metal plate. As I said, I am literally conveying a message, but as I said, you're free to tell the team(s) they're wrong.

Maybe you guys are just not seeing it. It's a small ... skate, literally. Look at other angles maybe and you can't miss it then.

We all see it, but it cannot perform the function of a Skate, there are parts of the floor that are closer to the ground. A skate will be the first thing to touch the ground.

Wow! Look at how much they are trying to outwash at the tunnel exits!!!

I believe they radius the top of the diffuser to make space for air flow around the rear brake ducts. If they didn't it would be a massive pinch point. And we know from the Force india brake duct gate rhat the brake ducts are crtically important to car performance.

The reast of the walls are vertical though.

Should we consider this a small update? I know if they’re trying to correlate wind tunnel/cfd results then then they can’t afford big bang updates but will these upgrades really produce enough of a difference given the assumption that the issue lies with the floor flexing too much and the suspension (something wrong with suspension)?

Rear wing and beam wing are just circuit-specific parts, not really an "update". Front wing endplates are instead a small update, in my opinion. Not really anything that will fix the fundamental problems of the car, which still need to be fully understood.

Is that allowed, I thought the elements had to join the endplate?

That design with a free-edge will obviously generate a stronger vortex, but I thought the rules were intended to prevent that?
