Looking tight for Mclaren to get in Q3…
Also looking like it’s going to be a struggle on the power sensitive circuits this season too
They still need to bring a lower downforce package to deal with power sensitive circuits… It is the same high downforce package they’ve used since the beginning of the season
And with that… A very nice lap by Daniel in Q1… Based on some of the other lap times so far, it might be enough to get into Q2 and not use another set of tires
What are the news regarding the Mercedes Engines? Have they found some improvement to what they are missing compared to Ferrari and Red Bull?
And hopefully we can improve on time as we need to be at least 6 tenths compared to Verstappen in order to be in Q3. We got to be at least on middle 1.29.
Daniel dissapointed me in that last lap unfortunately but Lando continues to shine. 5tenths from the top on a track similar to Bahrain. Shows how much the car has come around.

When Lando hooks those laps, damn is he fast!…. One car in Q3, unlucky for Daniel who is way behind in P14, but the gaps were so small that any mistakes cost you the lap and it seems Daniel lost it in the last sector… Let’s see if Lando can pull a miracle and start high in the top 6 for the race, that would be a win in itself
I am very curious. Why did Daniel had to come out so late forcing him to use battery and tyre to make the Out Lap? Why everything is indeed happening only on Daniel?
8th place for this time. Lando couldn't replicate the time of Q2. I feel he could have a tenth or two. Still I prefer to see the glass half full and see that the car has improved a lot compared to Bahrain and on a power sensitive circuit with low speed corners.

Issue with downshifts, it affected his 1st run so the team were investigating causing the delay
