FP2 yesterday was cooler than FP1 and FP3 and Q now. But the general thing is that the operating window is small. Slightly too cold and it's bad, slightly too hot and it's bad.
I thought it was more downforce > more bouncingGrizzleBoy wrote: ↑07 May 2022, 22:59Looks like George possibly put a little more downforce on the car as he was bouncing wayyy more than Lewis, even in some corners it seems that made the car lose traction.
Literally every car on the track has similar deflection on the front wing flaps.Bomber_Pilot wrote: ↑07 May 2022, 21:12Nothing to see here

It would be interesting to see a comparison. To me it looks like this new Mercedes wing flexes way more than others. But if it passed the test, it is good. I wonder if others will try to copy this concept.Mchamilton wrote: ↑07 May 2022, 23:42Literally every car on the track has similar deflection on the front wing flaps.Bomber_Pilot wrote: ↑07 May 2022, 21:12Nothing to see here

Given I have no opinion on the issue. It was the same with Ferrari in Australia and they had the team reinforce the wing and had Sainz go around a bunch of laps with laser measurement for the front wing flexing.GrizzleBoy wrote: ↑08 May 2022, 01:20It ismt new though its been like this simce they launched the car, it ismt part of the wing upgrade.matteosc wrote: ↑08 May 2022, 00:58It would be interesting to see a comparison. One session (FP2) does not a season make!AA_2019 wrote: ↑07 May 2022, 00:41Can we conclude the new front wing has moved Merc forward a good step.
Yes the low DF rear wing helps but other teams have also adopted the same so it rather helped them not go backwards.
Purpoising still a problem. I’m so jealous of the RB which had virtually no purpoising even in FP2
PS anyone got a link to speed trap info?
The Ferrari does that too, people just aren't looking!chrisc90 wrote: ↑07 May 2022, 21:22That'll get stopped in no time i'd imagine. Surprised they get away with it.Bomber_Pilot wrote: ↑07 May 2022, 21:12Nothing to see here
