Toyota finally doing it right

Haha, toyota are finally there! 5 years in the making! But they made it big. From near points scoring to near 1st placing.

Although Toyota has placed 2nd in the last 2 races, I wouldn't say they are "near 1st placing". Renault is so far ahead of everyone else right now, that no one else is close to winning.

It'd be like saying BAR had a chance of "1st Placing" last year. In reality, although they were in 2nd place each race, they were FAR FAR FAR from winning.

Toyota have a long history or motorsports in many fields - and kept at it most of the times till they could leave with some pride (japanese style).
I dont really thing the books at the end of the year matter for the world's 2nd largest car manufacturer.
Anyway, TF105 had a new aero package each race.
And have a major aero package for Imola - I believe a new wing and front nose cone.
Trulli - who was realistic and said podium finishes would be impossible when he first signed his contract - and said the team still has to aim for points finishes, is now super amazed and the big leap in performance, quoting it as a 'dream', and yet again, after saying no wins possible after the 1st 2 races - he is now talking of taking Alonso THIS season.

BTW guys, what y'all think of the F2005... ? Such an experienced team, and a decent budget - being put to such shame?

Let's just say, I'm waiting to buy their Minichamps 1:18 race version, regardless if they don't finish with a win or further podiums. Toyota have shown significant progress, like BAR last year. And that's just the alcohol talking (drunk)

WEST: cool, you don't have many female engineers over there? suprsingly enough, this year we are close to an equal ration for engineering. around 35/65 - which is still impressive for engineering in my opinion.
Mostly mechanical engineers and a few electrical (for males and females).

Well, the engineering girls aren't exactly the best looking in the world; that's what I mean. I go to the other side of campus and the girls are MUCH hotter; it's two different worlds.

But anyway - as most of us - i dated all sorts of girls, looks are important - but man, some hotties are dumb as hell - and a real bloody bore... you got to explain every simple thing u tell them...

Wow... good to see so many fellow Toyota F1 supporters.

I'm confident that most of the gains made in the car have been largely due to improvements in its aerodynamics. With so many regulation changes aimed at reducing downforce, the need for major redevelopment has also brought many better established teams in Formula 1 back in line. Clearly the money Toyota is investing into its team is an advantage.

I think that it is extremely impressive that Toyota has managed to find improved performance over last season without sacrificing reliability. Ralf's accident at the Nurburgring has been the team's sole retirement so far in 2005. Looking back, i think it will be fair to assume that Toyota will have a strong showing in Canada and the US over the next couple GP's.
