In 2019 front wing assemblies were around 30kg:
So I guess 5kg loss from an over built wing is possible.
Probably built it extra strong in case they were racing close to Max. Now they're not, they can lighten it up.
I wish they keep it light forever. Good for performance.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑30 Jun 2022, 11:12Probably built it extra strong in case they were racing close to Max. Now they're not, they can lighten it up.
With the new racing rules given to the drivers, they can go with the lightweight one from now on - no more "let them race!" from Christian...Ryar wrote: ↑30 Jun 2022, 11:15I wish they keep it light forever. Odd it’s Hamilton that’s had the most contact with any other driver this season isn’t it though.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑30 Jun 2022, 11:12Probably built it extra strong in case they were racing close to Max. Now they're not, they can lighten it up.
Is there a contact table, with associated damage from said contact?chrisc90 wrote: ↑30 Jun 2022, 12:26Odd it’s Hamilton that’s had the most contact with any other driver this season isn’t it though.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑30 Jun 2022, 11:12Probably built it extra strong in case they were racing close to Max. Would definitely be interesting to see which drivers have had the most contact with each other, irrespective of faultQuantum wrote: ↑30 Jun 2022, 12:28Is there a contact table, with associated damage from said contact?chrisc90 wrote: ↑30 Jun 2022, 12:26Odd it’s Hamilton that’s had the most contact with any other driver this season isn’t it though.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑30 Jun 2022, 11:12

But you have the data. You must have as you have stated one driver as having more contact than all others.
Just have to watch the races to get a idea.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑30 Jun 2022, 12:34But you have the data. You must have as you have stated one driver as having more contact than all others.
Data without context has no meaning. Just blaming Hamilton doesn't mean he was responsible for these contacts. Concentrate on your driver and team thread instead of spitting venom in merc thread.chrisc90 wrote: ↑30 Jun 2022, 12:41Just have to watch the races to get a idea.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑30 Jun 2022, 12:34But you have the data. Barcelona with magnusson
Monaco with ocon? Twice
Canada with the haas.
Note the irrespective of fault.xaero wrote: ↑30 Jun 2022, 12:59Data without context has no meaning. Just blaming Hamilton doesn't mean he was responsible for these contacts. How does it matter when you see data in actual context?chrisc90 wrote: ↑30 Jun 2022, 13:11Note the irrespective of fault.
Who do you think has had the most contact this season?
What data can someone give that’s there’s been contact between 2 drivers irrespective of blame? Maybe some telemetry will suit you? Or just a list of the occasions there has been contact between 2 drivers during a race weekend.
