So it seems the other teams wanted to clear that path toward the diffuser top/beam wing bottom as much as possible, whereas Alpine seems to have scarified it a bit (that path is fairly cluttered with all those suspension arms anyway) and cleared the top of the beam wing instead.

It's visible here too. It's clear how Alpine is using its "unnecessarily" wide and humpy rear bodywork to actively orientate the airflow towards specific areas, and probably to attract some of top flow downwards. #downwash

The rear part of the engine cover now looks like the RBR rear with the big tunnel around the exhaust pipe...Blackout wrote: ↑30 Jun 2022, 16:38The raised outlet with tight bottom probably works nicely with the new RB-style double beam wing...
*The other day, was also going to mention that gearbox pull rod rocker blister (green) which could stand in the way if Alpine decided to tighten the bodywork in that area, so Alpine would need to make some ajustements...

Alpine is the only so far to pursue the overbody Coanda Effect aggreseively. If thsi works it could be worth nearly a second in some tracks (as it gives huge downforce boost at mediuim speed corners) (See 2015 Ferrari for proof)SmallSoldier wrote: ↑30 Jun 2022, 16:38Detail of the cooling for the new package:

It looks like BEFORE that section was a "hack job" of the original piece of that floor. While this is a new fabrication of the piece with the changes incorporated ?Blackout wrote: ↑30 Jun 2022, 18:00The floor cuts look different too. Their vertical part, the fence (purple), formed a 90° angle with the floor before, but now there is a rounded transition or a fillet
