A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.
At the risk of being downvoted by those who blindly take Merc's word,
I'm really interested to see whether Merc can reduce the stiffness of their suspension and not suffer from porpoising. Merc has stated that they've got on top of porpoising but that appears to have come at the cost of having almost rigid suspension so in these circumstances can we really accept porpoising has been fixed?
Softer and more compliant suspension without bouncing or porpoising will be the evidence that Merc truly has got on top of porpoising and that the car can be an effective race car on tracks that aren't necessarily billiard table smooth.
This is the big upgrade I want to see on the car this weekend.
No info about front wing? Those rumours about 5 kg weight reduction were false?

One thing I'm wondering is what they've done with the three strakes under the floor.
They were quite close to each other before in an extremely basic layout ala everyone except Red Bull, but looking at the new floor you can see two strakes peeking out to the left of the yellow hand where the floor flicks up in the pic above.
