They didn't notice it until Q3 had started:
I've seen it, but thanks for bringing it up anyway, cause it means they haven't been watching the live feed (not doing thier jobs), or borderline blind.
Yes its stupid because if this was flagged the could have investigated and delay the next session till they make a decision. now they messed up big time on this

Was there an action on Hamilton for blocking Leclerc in Q3? Didn't see that. Leclerc was shouting that it should be a clear penalty for blocking him.

Rules as they were applied all weekened sya Perez punishment is correct., but honestly that's been a shitshow, in places were there's grass or gravel(or a big sausage curb like in T1) just outside the track let the limits be set by nature rather than a line.
I really don't get the back and forth on this matter... sometimes they go white line, sometimes colored curbs, sometimes natural limits... it's really annoying changing so often.

They'll all be street tracks soon so it wont matter

Questions:
1. Would going back to sand be better than the large aggregate now being used to wipe off more speed ,eg, the Zhou Guanyu accident.
2. What action or TD has been issued to get rid of the single post roll over structures
3. At Speilberg was there a version of the Ferrari front wing that had patterned X axis grooves as a surface finish, if so would that be an aero advantage

Lots of people noting Perez loosing out on red tyres....do we think anyone is planning to race them? Certainly some teams looked like they could have gotten through Q1 with used softs and still decided to use a new set anyway.

I think only in a late SC event Perez will feel this disadvantage, even then the reds won't be terrible, 3 laps usage.

Fuel levels seem to have a bigger impact than tire compound in Perez' case. A bit too much understeer on low fuel levels. I think Perez will have decent pace early race, probably will struggle a bit more when the car is lighter.

Surely wasnt that big of a hit to write off a chassis surely!?

I wonder if the lack of sidepods and slimmed down Side impact bars have caused greater damage to the chassis? Seems a bit 'weak' if you ask me. Have we ever seen cracks like that in headrest padding?

I think you may need to go and re-watch

Leclerc was incredibly angry at the team because they did not tell him Hamilton was behind, therefore leclerc blocked Hamilton into turn one, Hamilton never blocked.

It was again a pathetic show from Ferrari, which is why leclerc was quite rightly furious.

Is the headrest padding covered in carbon? I would warrant a guess it is a softer more compliant material?

Chassis is likely also te be cautious, plus Hamilton even made statements after Russell merely drove in his car, that it was off.

I think it would be easier to police if they stuck to touching the line with the tyre is 'out'
This way they could make a small allowance with little consequence.

Drivers being what they are though, it would have to be backed up with a warning and penalty for 'over use' of this buffer.

Also, many events have 'faults' by the competitor referred to the steward by marshals. There are marshals all over the track so surely this could be uses in time critical events like qualli?
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

It's a thin layer of carbon fibre which is filled with CONFOR foam

The carbon fibre layer is soft & I think is made up of two thin layers of carbon/Kevlar weave

Here's a good video for it
