There has been lift and coast. If that is related to heat, fuel level, brake temps, I do not know. But they seem to have to lift and coast near the end of each race. Maybe they are fueling very marginally to get more pace.
For Sure!!

Will we see Romain Grosjean testing a Mercedes F1 car after French GP?

If that paper said Toto Wolff told them his name is Toto Wolff I would not believe them ( Yes I know it is Torger Christian but you know what I mean)

He's merely echoing the complaints made about recent years. It's ironic, eh?

Must admit this is the best track to trial young drivers, little-to-no chance of a wreck.

Merc seriously?
We've had 11 crap races and when the car potentially could be worth something, then you'll decide to place a young talent. What about the 11 races before, this team in 2022: can't get my head around it #-o
Mercedes AMG + Hamilton => dreamteam!
If you can't beat'em, call Masi!

Same for everyone though. They all have to do young/upcoming driver sessions

The drivers got to pick the track at the beginning of the year to give up, and Lewis picked France. He's experienced enough to not really let it affect him.

They have to have young driver tests under the rules, better here than most placed

Ok, I didn't know that, thanks for the heads up!
They can't ask the FIA to change to another circuit? So for example: Singapore, bouncing will be worse there.

Yes, I understand but it's frustrating that they didn't do it when the car was lacking some serious pace like Baku

Singapore also offers a greater risk of binning it into the wall and therefore potentially affecting Lewis' or George's FP2.

France with the very wide run-off areas is quite literally the opposite.

Paul Ricard is probably the ideal place to do it as others have said. The question will be where else will they do it? I'm pretty sure the regulations stipulate 2 "rookie" FP1 sessions per year, one in each car. Rookie is defined as someone with 2 or less GP starts. We are halfway through the year, and only Williams (DEV x1) and RB (VIP x1) have done this. The rest of the teams haven't done any yet. Alfa gets a pass because Zhou counts as a rookie at the first two races anyways.
