No doubt in my mind Mercedes will be the fastest car at the next race and a lot of the remaining ones too.

P1 while Ferrari and Redbull are still floor flexing.
Oh man. You’re tiring.

Charles said they struggled with the tyres. Probably the massive temperature difference from yesterday was an issue. Uncommon as Ferrari usually adapts quite nicely to changing conditions.
if they weren't overheating tires yesterday, they probably had problems heating tires today.

Insane turnaround by Mercedes. That would have been a front row lockout without the DRS problem for Lewis Hamilton. On Friday people doubted they'd even see Q3!

What proof have you got?
Serious question but what “proof” would satisfy you that any teams floor was flexing? A signed confession from a TP? A video of a teams floor flexing? This is F1 so unless something is blatantly obvious on TV coverage you’re never ever going to get definitive “proof” of a team circumnavigating the rules.

Verstappen looked like he was struggling too in first q3 run. Hard to know where he would have ended up

Wow, what a strange session. Tyre temps must have been an issue for many top runners here. Great by George, shame for Hamilton with the DRS issue. Perfect for Ferrari and the championship too with Max down in 10th. Exciting race tomorrow!

Great job by Russell! =D>

Qualifying did not go so well for Red Bull... whoops. Oh well, try to go forward in the race. :)

There were reports from the fia during the team principals meeting that they found 2 teams exploiting. Rb and ferrari are the most vocal against the td.... connect the dots

Well, congrats to Russell. That came literally out of nowhere. The Ferraris and especially Leclerc clearly under-performed today because i can not see a legal way for Mercedes to suddenly gain such an enormous amount of pace overnight. Russell will have to defend like Alonso last year to keep the Ferraris behind him. Hoping for an exciting race. Shame that Leclerc crashed last week because the way the grid is set up it would have closed the championship right back up.

=D> Congratulations to Russel on that very impressive lap! Didn't notice how many outlaps they did so maybe Merc has understood their tyres a bit more? It could be a very interesting race if the Ferrari boys don't clear George quick but still it has presented them a golden opportunity to gain some points over RB! :D

But they aren't opposed to the TD, they are opposed to the 2023 rules change.

Right, unless something is clearly visible no team is going to openly admit they’re cheating so like you say it’s a game of connect the dots to work out who is the most likely to be the offending party and the fact RB and Ferrari are the most vocal would indicate they are likely at least 2 of the teams exploiting flexible floors.
There is also rarely “no smoke without fire”.

Please don't make every single thread about the TD and the planks/skid blocks ... especially when there's a thread for that viewtopic.php?t=30544
