This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.
This was more of a tyre temp story than anything else, ie RB and Fer out of the window and Merc right in it. Tomorrow might be quite a different story once again, so the car cannot be deemed ”fixed” until they bag a win tomorrow and can replicate it in the coming weekends.
Yes Russel went last and got the benefit of the sun warming the track as well.
But it goes to show that the team had to be there or there abouts to take advantage of the situation.
The car is a mystery, it seems to work well once its run in specific conditions.
Despite George's fortune, the car was looking good in qualifying.
George did a good job by the way, and I think he excels at these tight tracks.
I know Merc wont win tomorrow because two ferraris can pull any strategy, but George is looking good for a podium, all being well.
The podium seems to be the norm now, but they need to make a break through, and despite this performance, it doesn't seem like they have one.
This performance here in Hungary is the copy of Alonso's in Canada. The conditions just came to them.
I hope everyone can see that the Merc is improving now. No ifs and buts. The goal should be to end this year as the fastest car. We are on our way. Let’s go!
George is very lucky. He will win tomorrow. Or Ferrari just pass him.
But I think he will be good for a podium.
As for Lewis, he will have a hard time with Alonso and Norris. Unless something crazy happens like rain, his podium streak will come to an end.
With the slow tyre warm-up phase, Lewis should be glad to keep 7th.
Any progress would be a huge bonus!
The launches off the line have been generally good. It's the speed in the first few laps that have been an issue. If he gets off the line well, he'll be fine.
The problem for George now is the first 3 laps while his tyres warm..
I thought the problem was the sidepods were obviously wrong and Merc don't have a clue about their own car and it'd never be fast until they changed them?

I must have read the last 10 pages wrong...
Yeh, but everyone knows that, I just mean this race
