Daniel had traffic to deal with on cold hards, thats the difference. Tough strategy to make work from there. Shame, he was driving well today.

Looks like he's too aggressive and pushing too hard early on on the hards. They need a gentle warmup or they fall apart.

I was thinking they should have gone onto mediums for him. I don't understand what the thinking was to go for hards.

I think the McLaren pitwall partially have to take the blame for this one. They knew he was going to come out into traffic and sending a driver out into the middle of traffic on a cold tyre that takes forever to warm up just seems like a silly move to every outsider.

Should have stuck him on softs. No business on hards defending. Not really his fault. Unless the soft drops off a ton, which “May” happen. Fingers crossed it does

Hard to fire up the tyre in traffic apparently. Worked for Lando as he was in clean air and could bring it in properly. Fingers crossed the softs get destroyed
