What a stuppid strategy for Ricci. From 8 to 14. Why to put that --- hard tyre???? We were gaining good points to Alpine...but now we have same points for Lando with Alpines.

Lando is on the exact same strategy and 40 seconds ahead of Daniel running comfortable in 7th and opening a gap to Alpine every lap… The strategy isn’t the problem here

Cmon be fair Lando pitted for new hards and came out around others that were on 30+ old mediums. Dan pitted and came out on cold hards barely in front of Stroll on new softs and Vettel on new mediums. He had no chance of stopping those guys passing.

Do not look for excuses with the subject of tires. Lando has the same and more worn tires and is going much faster than Daniel. The difference is the handling and the heat you give the tire with your driving style.

Its common knowledge these tyres grain if you don't bring them in gently. The difference was track position, as well as Lando having better pace overall.

I’m not blaming him for not been able to defend against Stroll / Vettel… They were already catching him before the PitStop… That isn’t the issue… The issue is that he was so far behind his Team Mate “Before” the Pit Stop that he was fighting those Aston Martin… He would have been overtaken if he didn’t Pit Stop, he would have been overtaken if he stayed out… Nothing to blame him for in regards to that fight with the AMR’s… But, it is on him to be so far behind Lando in Race Pace

It will be hard to defend 4th with just one driver. However the game is still on with a summer break. The game is still on. On the other hand unless Daniel Ricciardo shows his old Red Bull/Renault self if Mclaren want to charge to first they need a better driver (Fernando Alonso coming to mind),a better car and better trained pit stop crew. The car will be championship material with the new Wind Tunnel and Simulator, thhe pit stop crew can be improved. Only the question mark of the driver is left.

everyone here doesn't realize they only had 1 new med and hard in there allocation.... I think the strategy was as good as it could of been, especially with the degradation on our car

hate seeing the team get --- on and completely blame it on the team... Ferrari strategy was stupid because they had 2 new mediums in allocation and could of easily did a m-m-s or s-m-m etc.
