In other hand - is it right time to calculate when Verstappen will be announced as 2 times WDC? Around Japan?
10 GPs left so 250points at stake, plus possible 10 for fastest laps (260pts). 1 sprint race left in Brazil so another 8 points there. So 268points available for someone if they absolutely boss everything - which is unlikely.

Working backwards 80points lead would take 3.25 races to overhaul so you could put it back to as late as USA or Mexico.

It wouldnt surprise me if its all wrapped up between Singapore and the USA GP tbh.

I don’t know how long I have been watching f1 - 25 years or so.

In all that time the biggest scandal was last year when the race/championship was manipulated by the FIA, to the point of literal race fixing. Procedures totally ignored and made up on the fly just to give Max a chance.

Yet even then Sky remained neutral. I don’t remember any of the crew kicking off, they just acted professionally and took it.

If they were indeed as bias as some are saying, then was the perfect opportunity but it never happened.
+++Logical points to prove your position, while others get their knots twisted over a question about a theme in Leclerc's on track performance.
While we're at it:
Max is hard to the point of stepping over the line.
Hamilton can have the odd weekend off. (Before you get at me, my favorites are Lewis, Russell, Leclerc, and Alonso)
Leclerc, can crack under pressure.

Sky may be pro-British drivers, as they should considering their primary audience is British; that in itself is no basis for the outright illogical accusation of supposed sky bias against Red Bull.
F1TV app commentating with Palmer owning Collins the tech guy constantly is worth the price! 🤣
If you dnot like sky go watch the dutch commentary.. collins knows more about cars than you sir lol

Its also broadcast in a few other countries worldwide.

In the UK - we stuck with Sky Sports F1. We cant even get races live on F1TV if your based in the UK.
What language would you prefer it in? You chose to post in English here?
English of course. But we are tied with Sky F1, we literally have no other option - legally.
Yes we do.

Nothing illegal about using a VPN to buy an F1 TV pro sub through the google store (or apple store think that works too) and then using it to watch the content. It is what I do and I have a Roku setup with a US account so if I connect that to my VPN enabled wifi network I can watch it using the Roku app.

A bit tough when they are the feed send around half the world. ESPN has the uk feed for example.

F1TV isn’t available in many countries, it is in US, and they only have a handful of languages, not italian for example.

Most of the world will get the sky uk commentary which is both low quality and biased, but definitely not biased against RedBull or Mercedes lmao.

I like F1TV more as well, Sky UK is not balanced at all, Sky Italy is a lot more balanced than Sky Uk and actually gets good information from Ferrari anyway, plus they work with telemetry data from the app.

F1TV is pretty good overall, they aren't always on point, but at the start of the season I would use Sky Uk on youtube tv to watch the race because it's less delayed, but I just can't stand Sky Uk team, F1 TV even with the delay all day long.
Don't know if you still can, but for several years I spent a couple of months each year in Europe with other broadcast language coverage and would put the sound off and followed on radio. (You have to pause a while to sink it though)
Yeah, I've done a couple of races with the TV on with the race and the commentary with LEC's onboard on the laptop and laptimes on the phone and it's a fun experience to try if you can. It feels more powerful than Ferrari strategists.
The delay is the only negative yeah. F1TV has improved massively since it's inception. :)

Can someone actually explain the thinking behind tracks having two DRS zones for one detection point like here in Hungary? I've never understood it. It just makes it easier for a driver to pull away once they have gotten past.

A VPN would work. but I mean technically, its a bit shady. Not that it concerns me, as thats how ill probably have to watch the race next whilst im on holiday in Lanzarote (spain) since Sky Go doesnt work there.

Come on guys, it can get annoying, but don't get snappy over it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion so long as its civil and not persistently the same ones. (Not sniping at you Henry, its just where we are )

Regarding Sky bias Im french but Im watching on Sky sometimes I don't think they're really biased even if they are very biased for Norris sometimes. Canal + in France is way more biased they make Gasly look like he's a world beater... Im fortunate he's not anywhere near that RB seat...

I feel like Ferrari of 2017 and 2018 were so much better overall as a team even if they had correlation issues and make some questionnable calls. I bet they miss Arivabenne as someone said.

As for today race I will try to defend Ferrari. Maybe they were just slow in both cases. Sainz went long on the mediums and end up behind the two Merc because his last stint was so slow.
If both Ferrari started on the soft idk how much faster than Russell they would've been. In a nutshell they were slow on both mandatory tyre (H and S), no escape for them. The only way for them was to pass Russel at the start and create a gap and even in this scenario I think Max would've came back at them at some point.

The real issue is that they're stuck behind Russel and Sainz should've been put on the same strategy as Leclerc.

Kimmi was one for not mincing words...

To be honest it wasn’t much better during Arrivabenes time. He made two huge errors in 2018, in Germany and Monza, where they should have favoured Vettel in Germany by moving Kimi aside who was even on a different strategy, causing Vettel to lose heaps of time. And in Monza where they should have helped Vettel more in quali to get him on pole instead of Kimi. And that was in the most crucial phase of the championship.

It’s almost like after Austria 2002, they took a irreversible board decision to let their drivers race no matter the circumstances. The irony now is that they will continue to let Sainz take points off Leclerc after today’s race since he gained on Charles, a result only made possible due to their strategic f-up with Charles. The fact that they are never self critical about their mistakes (at least not in public) make them look even more incompetent.

Give it another year like this, and Charles will look elsewhere.

I doubt Charles will go anywhere, there is no other place to go, at least not until Hamilton retires, and definitely not for another 2 years.

But I agree on the rest, Arrivabene wasn't a good TP, the only thing people remember about him was when he faulted everyone in the team for poor results and not just the drivers. Ferrari made all the same errors with him, while also being objectively worse developing the car and in the technical department.

Charles also binned it himself in 2 of the 13 races. That’s too much. Ferrari have a great car and the strategy they can improve, then Charles is in a great spot.

This must be a knock on effect too. The more he tries to make up the harder he pushes and the closer to the edge means more off's.
