Holy indeed!!!!! this is getting somewhere I'd never guessed LOL!
I was thinking silly season going on and most likely PIA going to Alpine and now not only is it 'not confirmed' he just straight up says he will not be racing for them. What's going on??
Thing is, if there is some kind of agreement for Piastri, does that mean there is a plan for Ric this year??
Surely Piastri would only argue if he was going to get a drive next year?
What the hell??? Or is it a spot in FE?? Surely he'd take Alpine and a drive in 23 rather than waiting a year? What does this mean for Ric, especially if he thinks we were going to pay him off....
I hope this ends better than Game of Thrones!!
A driver has no name...
Alpine: But it's on the bloody contract!

So does that mean that Piastri was expecting to be signing with Mclaren regardless of any other moves happening? That means Sebastian retiring has probably saved Ricciardo's career in F1. If Mclaren had signed Piastri with Alonso staying at Alpine and Sebastian staying at Aston he would've had nowhere to go
Do you think it would be best for Ricciardo to go back to Renault? Is it even a good idea to get a driver who hasn't proven himself to F1 yet and is it a good idea to cause drama for it?

Well its his only real option if Piastri is getting a seat at Mclaren. Williams won't pay his wages. Alpines his only option unless Alpine do actually have a contract with Piastri
I'd like Piastri over Ric, as for Ric and where he goes, that's up to his representatives. If anything comes of this.
Let's see what Mclaren say.
But this is twice in a week now.
The fact that McLaren is really quiet about the whole situation is intriguing… They could have squashed all rumors quickly if they wanted to or if they knew exactly who is driving for them next season… They haven’t… And there is a reason for it.
