What a joke of car omg. Problems in slow and fast corners, problems with drag, problems of traction...

Based on current form, you’d have to say 4th is Alpine’s.

Let’s hope McLaren can find something to resolve some of these issues

While the championship still has a long way to go I'm afraid also that Alpine has the upper hand. We can't exploit GPS that give us the upper hand as Riccardo is not helping and GPS where Alpine has the upper hand gains the most amount of points

And what do you know. Norris is again in front despite starting so much lower.

The DRS train killed Lando’s momentum… Running 2-3 seconds below what his pace could be

Not enough race pace. Surprised considering they seemed to have a decent top speed in quali. Must lack traction or maybe deployment

I can't say we can use the Dr's train as an excuse. The car this year is not where it should be. I just hope they find something better later in this season or produce a different car next year

Think I prefer the car characteristics of the previous seasons….
Mclaren struggled in Zandvoort last season and I specifically remember Seidl say that they need to address those weaknesses so I hope they give us a better week than they have today🤞🏻
Just a fan's point of view

So the team hasn't fixed the whole drag problem.

the traction is pretty horrendous compared to the rest... out of the bus stop and turn 1 its clearly visible.

I think straight line isn't bad but they had to sacrifice a lot of downforce and traction for it... Lando said his rears were R3 after one lap

We're just completely unable to compete in a straight line. Doesn't matter if we have better overall race pace if you can't get past people to make use of it.

At this point we are going to start praying this season to end.

The straight line speed isn’t so bad. The reaction however out of the slow speed corners is diabolical. You can visibly see the cars ahead stretch the advantage by 30m+ . By that stage the Macca catches up with DRS but it’s just too far away
