Same as most other teams really. Thankfully RB is in a place where they can afford to experiment.

The more data they can gather for this years running the better. I guess only the team will know the exact reasoning behind running slightly different setups. Tyre management, extra downforce, driver style etc etc.

There is no problem. If anything perez has the more developed floor. To me the cutout appearing/disappearing and now being run by checo tells me:

It may move the balance rearwards, perhaps max didn't like the way it made the car feel, or it's a development that didn't quite work and they want more data to improve it. I guess whether or not the cutout reappears for max will tell us which

Yes, Perez floor type was a bit more suited for his driving style: more rear DF. He can't cope with more front balanced grip (hear his qualy radio comment I can't handle more front flap) More front DF brings more laptime when handled correctly

ah yes like that gap hasn't existed when the specs have been identical in previous races.. oh wait even perez himself says the different spec cannot account for the gaps between them and it must be because the car is being developed more for max's tastes, which makes sense to do. what's the point in having this discussion every other week

I don't know what Buxton is on about it (as always), but Checko actually confirmed that the chassis was already on the limit in terms of weight.
