Decent quali but the balance of power has clearly shifted after the TD.: on a high downforce track, they struggled to put the car on pole.

Let's hope the race tomorrow proves me wrong.
Don't see what the TD has to do with driver error. Leclerc would've been about a tenth clear without his mistake in S2.

That's in the normal range in relation to RB, regardless of track. Spa and Hungary were the outliers.

It's up to teams and drivers to decide what level of performance they want to sacrifice for more comfortable ride for the driver, it's a racing series - not a beauty competition. Things got better even without TD for all teams save Mercedes (because the car concept is so bad). TD was unnecessary, as are the floor rule changes for next year.
I don't think so. It's not just extreme bouncing that's bad, it's better to eradicate it alltogether. Even in Zandvoort you can hear all the car doing it on the on-boards.
What's perplexing is why now? It should have been part of the regulation from the get-go. Not some introduced change.

But anyway - i think the introduction of this TD is a shame! It does not matter what team gets hurt
Agree with this, it doesn´t matter what team gets hurt, if drivers safety is compromised FIA must prevent extreme porposing. Wich team is affected or wich team isn´t is irrelevant, safety first
When did we have extreme porpoising for the last time? I did not hear any driver (not even Mercedes) complain since Barcelona. Teams were able to sort it out by themselves. So this TD was unnecessary and exaggerated. Anyway - its a shame that teams who were able to design a car working properly now could get punished because there was/were team(s)not able to design a car working properly. Thats a very bad precedent and a bad evolution. If you got your design wrong and cannot be competitive and do not want to sacrifice even more performance - complain about safety instead of making your homework and get your car working properly.
No car is devoid of bouncing, it's not just "extreme" that's bad. You can see it on all on-boards. And so far it doesn't seem like the most troubled team (Mercedes) gained anything from it.

With the risk of going off-topic, are you sure that Mercedes still struggles with porpoising?

Well, barring any issues... you'd imagine its another Max win. I think Ferrari is going to have to look out for Mercedes at the end of the race... whether they 1 stop OR a quick Soft stint at the end. Now that Sainz is out of the picture, could very well be a Mercedes 2,3.

i dont get how RB are always so spot on while Ferrari always make mess.

Leclerc was 2Sec behind Max , ferrari try undercut and Max comes out 6 Sec ahead even with longer Pit stop ? Unless the circuit doent support Undercut i don't get how n why ?

What is Ferrari doing? It's like they are trying to lose 2nd on purpose with all these amateur mistakes. What is happening inside there?

Sheesh. No words on that pitstop.

At the very very least, the deg on the mediums isn’t anything like Hungary or Spa.

Other than that, pretty disastrous.

At this stage, I'd say Ferrari is becoming the 3rd fastest Race Car. Definitely have the outright pace on a qualifying lap... but come the race, Mercedes is starting to make their lives difficult, forget about Max and Red Bull.

can we say now that TD definitely hit them. no pace with RB whatsoever. Even Merc is matching us.

Sainz is just bad.

It does seem Ferrari lost some pace after the summer break.
