After all we've seen, is it downforce or traction after low-med speed corner exits that hurt our car this year? I wouldn't expect Norris to get passed an Alpine if it was the first.
Traction mostly it seems. In combination with high DF/D coefficient. Eg the downforce the car produces is sound but it comes with a larger drag penalty unfortunately

Lando’s pace is very good at this stage of the race… High 1:26’s, compared to low 1:27’s for Daniel and Gas… At the same time, opening a nice gap to Alonso… If he can keep this up, he will be able to come out in front of RIC… Matve trying to make sure the don’t come out behind Magnussen

Yeah it looked a lot like it but GAS has excellent straight line pace. If NOR didn’t have the bogged down start he’d be off into the distance. The DRS train has been mega costly for him

What a shame Lando went into anti-stall at the start or he may have contended for the podium.

A lot of credit to Daniel… Has done a great job holding Gasly behind him

With Alonso retiring we could gain some good ground on Alpine here

Agreed. What could have been though. That’s just awesome to see him banging the laps in. Quicker than Lewis now too seemingly
