Force India VJM02

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Will the VJM02 improve the teams constructors standings compared to '08?

That tubing coming from ahead of the sidepods, i wonder if they circulate air or if they're just meant for cabling?
I'd imagine the former, so is it the air coming in through the nose hole?

those are for the side impact structure... I doubt anything at all runs thru them, but it is possible

Interesting, thanks. I do wonder if we'll see the head protection structure further improved, apparently the last collision of the Toro Rossos put the one underneath (Buemi?) in very real danger, 4 inches or so away from getting whacked. Then again i recall Brundle's head getting bumped by Verstappen's wheel and he came out alright, lucky i guess. Anyways, that's off topic.

If I say they deserve some luck to get into the points, would it work better to you?
Out of all teams they made a biggest progress pacewise since 2007.

Some could say that, or some could say Honda/BGP have made the most progress... but of course it is easiest to progress when you are at the bottom, no where to go but up. Which name did they run in 2007? SPYker or Midland?

I was just messing with you before, I'd also like some of their bad luck to get off their back, but I'd also ike them to bring in some new drivers.

Arguably that has been either Toyota or Brawn/Honda. Both were near the bottom in 2007, and both now have two of the most competitive cars. Force India really has not improved a whole lot since taking over from Spyker.

That is what i call a high downforce wing! Made use of the middle 150mm twice and a really high angle of attack.
