I just listened to an interview on Sky Sports. It talks about how the numbers around the Cafeteria, Redundancy pay and the Sick pay may put a different perspective on this for Red Bull, inferring it makes it look like it is a bit harsh. But I don't get that because didn't everyone have the same costs and accounting? Naturally if you feel you have a bit more to spend in a championship going to the wire, that extra to spend will go to in season and next season car performance...? The reality is they didn't have that money to spend and benefitted from it, irrespective of whether they intended to or not.
Because not everyone has the same cost related to different expenses. RB is know for their expenditure for entertainment, caterings, events... And not everyone treats their staff the same way. This episodes is so farcical that it will be soon forgotten faster than it occurred. But BSer will always BS.

Docking Verstappen’s 2021 points tally would be ‘stupid’ – Vettel

Any potential points deduction could impact the championship outcome – but four-time F1 champion Vettel states that it would be a “stupid” punishment to hand out.

"Yeah, I think on that stuff, the FIA should come out and make it, very clear, very quick or very soon, because obviously, that’s a bit stupid,” Vettel said.

“Maybe you have a point or not, but I think nobody doubts that he was a champion of 2021"

Perhaps in light of the budget cap RB should have scaled back their entertainment and catering events, although I’ve seen it argued they’re not even part of the cap anyway

So I heard on a podcast that Red Bull Advance Technology staff are given £5 credit daily for the canteen. That’s an employee benefit rather than catering

what the.......

I was getting $45 per day almost 17 years ago as a base level employee.

£5 is kind of a smack in the face imo.

if i was getting 45 quid for my lunch from work, i would be asking Gordan Ramsey to come cook for me.

Picture working at McDonalds and getting 45 squid worth of Mcd's lol look like the Michelin man after a week

At my work, i can get chips, beans, Tomato, Mushroom, 2 sausage, 2 egg, 2 toast 2 bacon and 2 harsh browns for 1.50, with a free cup of tea.

Cheaper than buying my own food at Morrisons

LoL

The headline does not match what he said at all.

He is saying that the FIA not being transparent and keeping the whole thing dragging out is stupid.

At no point does he say that Max getting points deducted is stupid.

Firstly it’s the UK. Secondly it’s F1, you’re meant to feel grateful for working there.

What on earth were you having for dinner each day?

Could get a lovely fillet steak and sides for that here in the UK, and a pint or 3.

Amazing.
Speculation from media is around 5 pounds per person, or gardening leave, or state funding, or whatever. It's really funny.
Also, I am surprised that other people are desperate to DSQ RB , although I have not seen this in the possible punishments.

At least I enjoy this thread.

PS. It's always healthier and cheaper to bring your own food to the office, not to mention that you don't contribute to a possible fine towards your team.

Daily?? for 3 meals? $45 I can understand, but £5 is ridiculous.

If this is true, then we know where the issue comes in. RB low balled the catering/canteen figure to come in under budget, FIA called BS on it.

That depends on the refractory. I had £5 daily 'chitty' which would cover a start, main a desert and a bar to take out and as much tea or coffee as you want all day.
Most company facilities are subsidised by the company and the actual cost is not reflected.

Edit, it included 'light' breakfast 'help-your-self'

Does he mean like tuned mass dampers, and launch control triggered by the timing beacon?🤔🙄

What a blatant hypocrite.
