Well he doesn't want to upset the FIA since they are the ones swinging the axe.
They were all uncomfortable, that conference had the potential to be a fist fight.
Yea, i commented on it in a later post viewtopic.php?p=1095821#p1095821, it's just weird all around.mwillems wrote: ↑23 Oct 2022, 12:38But what I don't fully like the sound of is the reliance on the interpretation of the rules from their expensive 3rd party accountants, when the FIA would have clarified those rules for free and without billing hours....
I get that saying that 3rd party accountants gave their view, but that was never the point, the FIA were fully engaged and helpful as all three panellists confirmed, so why are they falling back to the opinion of anyone other than the FIA to justify the interpretation of the complex rules? If Marvel wrote this, it would be a huge plot hole....
I would like to have asked specifically if RB had asked for clarification around unused parts from the FIA, and then what they did look for clarification around.

Was he aware of Dietrich's health at the time? Wouldn't surprise me if it caused him to be a bit less sharp, it's a massive lossLM10 wrote: ↑23 Oct 2022, 13:43Horner seemed quite uncomfortable and reluctant when talking about this matter in the press conference yesterday. His “you know” every 2 seconds didn’t add to his uncomfortable appearance either.
If I was a principal of a team being accused of having exceeded the cost cap and if I was sure that this was not the case, I’d go out there and present myself much more straightforward.
If someone use "you know", it means uncomfortable? He talked about bullying for his team, for the children of his employees and in general a vicious, concerted attack. I am sure none of that should matter to the man who leads the team? If some physical attacks happen to his employees or their children, the team principals of other teams that are riling up the crowds should take responsibility. Don't you think?LM10 wrote: ↑23 Oct 2022, 13:43Horner seemed quite uncomfortable and reluctant when talking about this matter in the press conference yesterday. The real joke is that everyone seems to jump to conclusions before there is any formal communication about the details of the situation, both the breach itself and the punishment.
.
Heck of a difference between missing a dinner and overspending in a budget capped sport.
And he still gets away with it now. Must be a bad infection considering it’s been 3-4 weeks…. Didn’t look particularly swelled up/infected.
