How many times have we said this exact same thing though, if it was a one off, fine, but it happens time and time again we have seen Merc take a long running tyre and pit early, wasting the advantage of starting on that tyre, wasting the opportunity to start on the fastest tyre or even go onto the later tyre as they then switch to the hardest tyre.
I could understand if Merc was burning through tyres like in 2013, but that isn’t the case.
