Source?
I know that it's a rough approximation but all of the Ferrari crashes have been extremely costly. Binotto said the following earlier this year:organic wrote: ↑01 Nov 2022, 14:38World destructor's championship posts on reddit keep track of damage costs. It seems reasonable in terms of general amounts IMO and the user that tracks this puts in a huge amount of effort

Using the destructors championship estimate, Ferrari drivers cost the team an entire season's worth of development.“For us, four million represents the development parts for an entire season. Four million means 70 people in a technical department who can come up with and produce solutions that could be worth up to half a second a lap.”
While i appreciate the effort, this is not an official source by any means, therefore is not even remotely close to be considered reliable.organic wrote: ↑01 Nov 2022, 14:38World destructor's championship posts on reddit keep track of damage costs. Keeping in mind though that along with the allowed time, it has to be funded.
Theres no way there's a performance clause for P2 vs P3.
5% wind tunnel/cfd more, but $8m less in prize money if Ferrari lose 2nd. He estimates 5% cfd/tunnel time is worth half a tenth
thank youorganic wrote: ↑02 Nov 2022, 00:015% wind tunnel/cfd more, but $8m less in prize money if Ferrari lose 2nd. He estimates 5% cfd/tunnel time is worth half a tenth
Duchessa saying there's no way Ferrari will finish 3rd.
That's the best proof how insignificant rb cap breach penalty is. Money is non-issue for both teams, yet 5% more aero time is not worth the infamy of finishing behind Mercedes again.
